Oh Canada, NOT HERE! 'A Sad Bloody Day' in Toronto

Please listen to the report by Steve Paikin a very credible Canadian Journalist. We cannot tolerate this sort of police action in this country and so I believe that it is time for average citizens to say 'NO MORE'. I want police officers to serve and protect not abuse our citizens and our journalists. Why in a country with free speech can police officers arrest journalists who are doing their jobs? We all have a right to get a window into the actions of all parties through the reporting of people like Steve Paikin. What right would they have to threaten to arrest him when he was duly credentialed and doing the function of the 5th Estate? What right did they have to physically intimidate and then abuse Jesse Rosenthal, a credentialled Canadian Journalist for asking them what authority they were evoking to deny his rights? Peaceful assembly is a right in Canada as well which we do not surrender to fete 20,000 elites from around the world at a cost of 1.2 Billion TAX Payer dollars. We paid police officers to abuse our fellow citizens and violate their rights in favour of foreign elites. IS THIS CANADA?

I was married to a police officer for almost 30 years and I understand all of the arguments about the dangers and stresses of situations but there is no way that many of the actions are justified. Giving these officers too much leaway to undermine our democratic rights and to even physically abuse our citizens does not make the police officers safer or the community more secure, it simply destroys all we hold dear. (I in no soliciting support for Real News and I am not supporting its request for donations but they posted Steve Paikin’s report on Youtube and I think it is crucial for you to see.)
