As surprising as it might seem, few people have done more to introduce Canada to the world than Les Stroud, Canada's premier survivalist. A Canadian diplomat who has recently returned from Saudi Arabia told me that Les Stroud is a star in that country and that his survival program is a number one rated TV show.
